Only one (1) entry per Participant is permitted. Entries must be submitted in the following manner:

Participants can print out and complete the Registration Form and send their film entry DVD via registered mail along with your fully completed and signed registration form to:The PR Element at The Nomad Offices, Level 8, Pavilion KL, 168 Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100, Kuala Lumpur between 4pm Thursday, 8 Sept 2011 and 6pm Friday, 11 November 2011.
Participant's name must be clearly labelled on their entry. All registration information provided by

What is the maximum duration for my entry?

All entries can be up to a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes in length, including credits. There is no minimum running time.
Must my entry be in English?

The dialogue of your entry may be in any vernacular language spoken in Malaysia so long as English subtitles are provided.
What do I need to submit together with my film?

Participants are required to submit their entry on a non-returnable DVD together with their registration form.
All entries must be on either AVI, MP4 or H.264 format. All other formats will not be accepted. All entries must also include a non-returnable still image of their film.

Can I submit joint entries, or as a business entity?

Each entry must be submitted on an individual basis only (i.e., no joint or corporate entries).
What are the judging criteria for the BMW Shorties?

Each entry that is in compliance with the rules of the BMW Shorties will be reviewed by a panel of judges to be determined by BMW Malaysia. The entries will be evaluated based upon the following factors:
* Originality
* Creativity
* Content
What are the available awards in the BMW Shorties?

The Grand Prize Winner will receive up to a sum of Ringgit Malaysia Seventy Five Thousand (RM75,000.00) (the said Award Sum) in funding to make/produce a short film which shall be no more than 10 minutes in length.
In addition to the grand prize entries to the BMW Shorties will be judged for the following award categories.
* The People's Choice Award: -
This award will be decided by public acclamation via an online process that will be announced upon the confirmation of the BMW Shorties 2011 Top Ten Finalist.
* Best Actor: -
This award will be decided by the panel of judges of the BMW Shorties 2011 to recognize an actor who has delivered an outstanding performance.
* Best Actress: -
This award will be decided by the panel of judges of the BMW Shorties 2011 to recognize an actress who has delivered an outstanding performance.
* Best Screenplay: -
This award will be decided by the panel of judges of the BMW Shorties 2011 to recognize an outstanding screenplay/ script of an entry.
* Best Cinematography: -
This award will be decided by the panel of judges of the BMW Shorties 2011 to recognize the outstanding use of lighting and camera choices in the production of an entry.
* Best Production Design: -
This award will be decided by the panel of judges of the BMW Shorties 2011 to recognize an entry that possesses an outstanding overall look, feel and setting
